CHIEF PHARMACIST

HEALTHCARE SECTOR

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy or equivalent professional qualification
  • Registered Pharmacist with the relevant professional authority
  • Minimum 4 years of experience in hospital pharmacy operations, including one year of leadership experience
  • Strong knowledge of clinical pharmacy practices, regulatory standards, and medication safety
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary healthcare environment

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead and manage the overall operations of the hospital dispensary
  • Dispense medications accurately in accordance with prescriptions and hospital policies
  • Maintain proper storage, handling, and inventory control of pharmaceuticals
  • Ensure compliance with pharmacy regulations, safety standards, and hospital procedures
  • Monitor stock levels and coordinate timely replenishment of medicines and related supplies
  • Maintain accurate dispensing and inventory records
  • Collaborate with doctors, nurses, and other healthcare staff to ensure optimal patient care
  • Support continuous quality improvement initiatives within the pharmacy department
