Senior Fashion Designer

We are looking for an experienced and creative Senior Fashion Designer to join our design team, specializing in activewear and lifestyle apparel. With a focus on both style and function, this role requires a designer who can balance performance-driven designs with lifestyle aesthetics. The ideal candidate will have at least 8 years of industry experience in activewear and lifestyle design, a strong eye for trend forecasting, and expertise in working with a variety of fabrics and materials.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the design of innovative and cohesive activewear and lifestyle collections that align with the brand’s aesthetic and meet customer needs. You will be responsible for the entire design process, from initial concept to final product.
- Stay ahead of market trends, consumer preferences, and industry innovations. Integrate your insights into new collections while maintaining the brand’s identity and appeal.
- Prepare technical packs, detailed sketches, and specifications to ensure smooth execution from design to production. Collaborate with the development and production teams to ensure accurate execution of designs.
- Source and select performance fabrics, sustainable materials, and trims that align with the brand’s vision for both active and lifestyle wear. Research and implement the latest textile technologies.
- Work closely with product development, production, marketing, and sales teams to ensure alignment on product vision, timelines, and manufacturing requirements.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to junior designers, fostering a collaborative and creative environment within the design team.
- Ensure high standards of design quality and consistency across all collections while maintaining a strong focus on both form and function.
Required Qualifications:
- Degree in Fashion Design.
- 8+ years of professional design experience in activewear and lifestyle apparel. A portfolio that showcases a mix of both performance-driven and fashion-forward designs is preferred.
- Experience with international markets and understanding of diverse consumer needs in different regions.
- Strong understanding of garment construction, fabric properties, and technical design for activewear and lifestyle collections.
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign).
- Strong ability to forecast and interpret trends in both activewear and lifestyle categories, with an eye for what resonates with consumers.
- Excellent ability to create precise technical drawings, detailed spec sheets, and production-ready designs.
- Clear communication skills with the ability to present design concepts effectively to both internal and external teams.
- Proven ability to collaborate across departments and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- A passion for creating designs that blend style, functionality, and performance, with an emphasis on creating lifestyle garments that can be worn both during exercise and as part of everyday wear.
