Access Engineering PLC, the leading value engineering solutions provider in Sri Lanka is pleased to invite applicants for the following positions (site based) for the Central Expressway Project III – Phase 2.
Construction Engineer (Earth/ Structures)
- BSc in Civil Engineering / Highway Engineering / Construction Engineering from a recognized university.
- Registered with ECSL and hold membership/registration with IESL/ IESL, with a valid registration number to be produced at the interview.
- Minimum ten (10) years of experience, including at least five (05) years in earthwork and structures within the Highway and Major Roads sector.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and manage construction activities related to earthworks and highway structures in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, and method statements.
- Monitor excavation, embankment, filling, soil improvement, compaction, and subgrade preparation works.
- Supervise the construction of culverts, retaining walls, drainage structures, box structures, bridges, and other roadway structures.
- Ensure that construction activities comply with approved quality standards, project specifications, and safety requirements.
- Review construction drawings and coordinate with the Design, Survey, QA/QC, and Site teams to resolve technical issues.
- Conduct inspections and coordinate material testing and quality control for earthworks and structural works.
Civil Engineer (Structures)
- BSc in Civil Engineering/ Highway Engineering from a recognized University.
- Registered with ECSL and hold membership/registration with IESL, with a valid registration number to be produced at the interview.
- Minimum eight (08) years of experience in highway and major Roads sector.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure that construction works are carried out in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, method statements, and project requirements.
- Review structural drawings and coordinate with the Design Engineer, Consultant, Surveyor, and QA/QC team to resolve technical issues.
- Monitor reinforcement, formwork, concreting, structural steel, piling, foundations and other structural works.
- Conduct site inspections and ensure compliance with quality standards and approved construction procedures.
The ideal Candidate should be a team player, have positive Interpersonal and Communication skills with the willingness to work extended hours when necessary.
Familiarity with modern technological advancements will be an added advantage.
