Access Engineering PLC, the leading value engineering solutions provider in Sri Lanka is pleased to invite applicants for the following positions (site based) for the Central Expressway Project III – Phase 2.
Manager - Quality Assurance
- BSc in Civil Engineering, Material Engineering or equivalent qualification from a recognized university.
- Registered with ECLS and hold membership/registration with IESL, with valid registration number.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in Highway and Major Roads sector.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain the company’s ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001 compliant management systems and drive continuous improvements.
- Prepare and approve project Quality Plans, ITPs, and procedures to meet contractual and regulatory requirements.
- Lead and coach the QA team, assigning priorities and ensuring that all inspections are carried out in accordance with the project Quality Plan and ITPs.
- Closely monitor construction activities and provide clear direction to site teams to ensure all work strictly follows drawings, specifications and ISO 9001 quality requirements.
- Establish and enforce a practical quality control action plan (checklists, hold points, pre-pour/ pre-cover inspections) to prevent defective work and minimize rework.
- Manage the NCR system to identify and address non-conformities early and ensure timely closure of corrective actions.
- Organize and follow up on internal and external quality audits, ensuring timely closing all findings.
- Ensure all quality documents/ records are accurate, up to date & ready for audits.
- Provide relevant technical solutions and guidance to site teams.
The ideal Candidate should be a team player, have positive Interpersonal and Communication skills with the willingness to work extended hours when necessary.
Familiarity with modern technological advancements will be an added advantage.
