Finance Executive - Construction & Project Finance

FULL-TIME • COLOMBO, SRI LANKA • 2+ YEARS Experience

COMPANY OVERVIEW

JSF Corporation (Pvt) Ltd is a Sri Lankan property development company focused on residential and mixed-use real estate. As we progress a growing pipeline of development projects, we are looking for a detail-driven Finance Executive to join our team and support our day-to-day accounting and reporting functions.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Construction & Project Finance

  • Support preparation of project cost reports, cash flow forecasts, and financial summaries for construction milestones.
  • Liaise with contractors, quantity surveyors, and site teams to verify invoices, valuations, and payment certificates prior to processing.
  • Track drawdowns against project financing/loan facilities and ensure documentation is complete and audit-ready.

Cash Book & Cash Flow Management

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date cash books across project and corporate accounts.
  • Prepare and update short and medium-term cash flow forecasts, highlighting funding requirements ahead of key payment dates.
  • Process day-to-day payments, receipts, and bank reconciliations in line with internal controls.
  • Coordinate with banks on transfers, facility utilisation, and account administration.

General Finance Support

  • Assist with month-end closing, journal entries, and reconciliations as required.
  • Support the Finance team and external auditors during periodic reviews and audits.
  • Undertake ad-hoc financial analysis and administrative tasks as directed by management.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Degree or professional qualification in Finance, Accounting, or a related field (part-qualified CMA/ACCA/CA Sri Lanka preferred).
  • 2-5 years of relevant experience, ideally within construction, real estate, or project finance.
  • Strong working knowledge of cash book management, bank reconciliations, and cash flow forecasting.
  • Familiarity with government approval processes for construction/development projects is an advantage.
  • Proficiency in Excel and standard accounting software.
  • Strong attention to detail, organisational skills, and ability to work with site and external stakeholders.
