THE ROLE
PMO Specialist Private Limited is seeking a skilled and experienced CAD/BIM Revit Engineer to join our Colombo team. You will produce high-quality BIM models and CAD drawings for UK and European construction, architecture, and engineering projects, working to UK standards and client-specific BIM Execution Plans (BEPs).
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop, maintain, and update 3D BIM models in Autodesk Revit across architectural, structural, and/or MEP disciplines to client and project-specific standards
- Produce 2D construction drawings from Revit models to UK drafting standards, incorporating annotations, schedules, and details
- Carry out co-ordination and clash detection using Autodesk Navisworks — identify, log, and track clash resolution with design team members
- Manage drawing production in accordance with project drawing registers, revision control procedures, and CDE protocols
- Prepare and issue drawing transmittals and manage drawing submissions through the project CDE
- Produce model-based quantity schedules and material take-offs as required
- Prepare and update as-built models and drawings during and at project completion
- Participate in BIM coordination and design team meetings via video conference
- Maintain and update project information in the CDE in accordance with the project Information Management Plan
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related design/technical discipline
- Minimum 3 years of professional experience producing BIM models and CAD drawings for construction or engineering projects
- Demonstrated experience using Autodesk Revit as the primary modelling tool is essential — please specify your Revit experience clearly in your CV
- Experience working on UK projects or to UK drawing and documentation standards is highly advantageous
- Knowledge of BS EN ISO 19650-1 and 19650-2 (UK BIM Framework) is desirable
TECHNICAL SKILLS & SOFTWARE
- Autodesk Revit — advanced proficiency required (specify version experience in CV)
- Autodesk AutoCAD — proficient
- Autodesk Navisworks Manage — clash detection and model federation
- Bluebeam Revu — drawing mark-up and issue
- Common Data Environments: BIM 360 (Autodesk Construction Cloud), Viewpoint 4Projects, Aconex, or similar
- Microsoft Office Suite — Word, Excel, Outlook
- Knowledge of Dynamo for Revit (parametric automation) is advantageous
- Experience with Civil 3D, MicroStation, Tekla Structures, or specialist MEP tools (Revit MEP, Fabrication CADmep) is desirable
- Video conferencing: Microsoft Teams and Zoom
