The Role:
We are looking for a technically competent, proactive, and results-oriented Electrical Engineer to join our Engineering & Maintenance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the reliable operation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of electrical systems and equipment within the manufacturing facility.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and carry out preventive and corrective maintenance of electrical systems, machinery, and equipment.
- Troubleshoot electrical faults and ensure timely repairs to minimize production downtime.
- Monitor and maintain electrical panels, motors, control systems, and related equipment.
- Ensure electrical installations and maintenance activities comply with safety standards and company procedures.
- Coordinate with production and engineering teams to ensure uninterrupted manufacturing operations.
- Maintain maintenance records, equipment history, and relevant technical documentation.
- Assist in identifying opportunities to improve equipment reliability, energy efficiency, and operational performance.
- Coordinate with external contractors and service providers when required.
- Monitor critical electrical spare parts and support inventory planning.
- Participate in engineering projects, equipment installations, modifications, and commissioning activities.
Candidate Profile:
- Degree or Higher National Diploma in Electrical / Electrical & Electronic Engineering or an equivalent qualification.
- Minimum 2–3 years of relevant experience in electrical engineering, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of industrial electrical systems, machinery, and maintenance practices.
- Experience in troubleshooting electrical and control system faults.
- Knowledge of electrical safety standards and industrial safety practices.
- Experience with preventive and corrective maintenance systems will be an added advantage.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and respond effectively to urgent maintenance requirements.
