ASSISTANT MANAGER - FINANCE

Key Responsibilities
- Monitor daily sales transactions for financial accuracy and compliance while working closely with ERP systems to ensure data integrity.
- Conduct regular sales analyses by product, distributor, region, and channel, and develop automated dashboards and reports using Excel and Power BI.
- Perform budget versus actual variance analyses, evaluate product profitability, pricing, and margins, and monitor annual A&P spends exceeding LKR 100 mn.
- Control discounts, incentive schemes, promotions, and sales returns while actively managing local market debtors, credit exposure, and ageing accounts.
- Draft, review, and support distributor agreements to ensure proper terms are established and regulatory compliance is maintained.
- Act as a trusted finance business partner to the local sales team to achieve divisional targets while continuously reviewing internal controls for operational improvements.
Candidate Profile
- Minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience in commercial finance, sales finance, or local market distribution, with an audit background being an added advantage.
- Part-qualified or passed finalist in CA, ACCA, CIMA, or an equivalent qualification, along with a degree in accounting and finance.
- Strong exposure to FMCG, consumer, or trading environments, combined with a commercially minded and proactive approach when working alongside sales teams.
- Excellent analytical skills supported by advanced Excel capabilities, hands-on experience with Power BI or business analytics tools, and a good working knowledge of ERP systems, with a preference for IFS.
- Comprehensive understanding of product profitability, costing, pricing, discount structures, and local market tax structures.
