SITE ENGINEER
J.N. INTERIORS is a leading interior designing and civil construction company which has earned its reputation for interior designing in Sri Lanka since 1998.
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Site Engineer to support our interior design and civil construction projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising and coordinating site activities, ensuring construction work is carried out according to approved drawings and specifications, maintaining quality standards, and ensuring projects are completed safely, efficiently, and within the planned timelines.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise daily construction activities and ensure compliance with approved drawings, specifications, quality, and safety standards.
- Coordinate with contractors, subcontractors, consultants, and suppliers.
- Monitor project progress, schedules, and resource requirements.
- Inspect civil and structural works to ensure quality and compliance.
- Identify and resolve technical and site-related issues.
- Assist with construction planning, scheduling, and coordination.
- Prepare site reports, measurements, and progress updates.
- Coordinate inspections and corrective actions.
- Support project management in achieving quality, cost, and timeline targets.
Qualifications & Experience
- BSc in Civil Engineering or NDT/HNDE in Civil Engineering from a recognized institution.
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in the construction industry.
- Sound knowledge of civil engineering principles and construction practices.
- Knowledge and practical experience in construction planning and structural works will be an added advantage.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering, structural, and architectural drawings.
- Good communication, coordination, problem-solving, and site management skills.
- Ability to work independently and effectively under pressure while meeting project deadlines.
- Willingness to work at construction sites and coordinate with different project stakeholders.
