SENIOR EXECUTIVE / EXECUTIVE RESEARCH & DEVELOPMENT
Planto Ceylon (Private) Ltd. is an ISO-certified, export-oriented, plant-based food manufacturing company located in Homagama. We are looking for a dynamic and self-motivated individual to join our team as a Senior Executive – R&D. The ideal candidate will play a key role in driving innovation, developing new products and improving existing processes to meet market demands and organizational goals.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead and manage product development projects from concept to launch.
- Develop new food formulations and improve existing recipes to enhance taste, quality, and shelf life.
- Conduct sensory evaluations, lab trials and production-scale testing.
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations, quality standards, and labeling requirements.
- Collaborate with Production, Quality Assurance, Procurement, and Marketing teams to ensure successful product commercialization.
- Research emerging food trends, raw materials, and technologies to support continuous innovation.
- Maintain detailed documentation and prepare technical reports for management.
CANDIDATE PROFILE
- Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Food Technology or related discipline. (Master’s degree will be an advantage.)
- Minimum 3–5 years of R&D experience in the food industry.
- Strong knowledge of food processing, ingredients and quality standards (HACCP, ISO, GMP, etc.).
- Practical experience in product trials and sensory analysis.
- Creativity, analytical skills and strong problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
