Sands Active (Pvt) Limited is (a subsidiary of Melwa Group) a BOI approved state of the art pharmaceutical manufacturing company by partnering with the State Pharmaceutical Corporation Sri Lanka with the intention to fulfil local pharmaceutical related demand.
Water Treatment Plant Technicians
- Duties and Responsibilities
- Responsible for overall operation of water treatment plant.
- Maintain, attend breakdowns/ repairs to the water treatment plant equipment.
- Keep records of all maintenance, repairs.
- Preparation of water treatment chemicals as per the standard operation procedures.
- Qualifications and Experience
- Certificate / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or NVQ Level 04.
- Minimum of 05 years’ experience in water treatment plant environment.
- Experience in pharmaceutical industry would be an added advantage.
Electrical Technicians
- Duties and Responsibilities
- Reading technical diagrams to determine the placement of outlets and fixtures.
- Installing wiring, outlets, and controls.
- Maintenance of electrical systems.
- Inspecting transformers and circuit breakers to ensure they are up to code.
- Identifying electrical problems using simple meters.
- Repairing and replacing wiring and equipment using hand and power tools.
- Following safety procedures and regulations.
- Adhering to building regulations.
- Qualifications and Experience
- NVQ Level 03 or above in Electrical Engineering.
- Minimum of 03 years’ experience as an Electrician.
- Ability to work with minimum supervision.
- Ability to work holidays with long working hours.
Mechanical Technicians
- Duties and Responsibilities
- Corrective breakdown handling in every system.
- Preventive Maintenance in Quality Control and Admin buildings.
- Preventive Maintenance in AHUs and related equipment.
- New machinery installations and related work.
- Qualifications and Experience
- NVQ Level 03 or above in Mechanical Engineering.
- Minimum of 03 years’ experience as a Mechanical Technician.
- Ability to work with minimum supervision.
- Ability to work holidays with long working hours.
HVAC Technicians
- Duties and Responsibilities
- Operation and maintenance of AHUs (Quality Control and General Buildings).
- Temperature, RH and dew point maintenance in conditioned areas.
- Operation and maintenance in the Chiller system.
- Operation and maintenance in the Building Management System (BMS).
- Filter maintenance in the relevant areas.
- Other related HVAC maintenance activities as required.
- Qualifications and Experience
- NVQ Level 03 or equivalent qualification.
- Minimum of 03 years’ experience as an HVAC Technician.
- Ability to work with minimum supervision.
- Ability to work holidays with long working hours.
