Senior Executive – Finance, Taxation & Audit Compliance
Asiabike Industrial Limited is Sri Lanka's largest manufacturer and exporter of bicycles. We are a BOI (Board of Investment - Sri Lanka) approved company, established in 1994. As a pioneering global manufacturer, we are known for manufacturing all types of bicycles including high quality Mountain bicycles, Racing City / Road bicycles, Kids' bicycles, Pedal bicycles (E-Bike), Trekking / Terrain bicycles for over two decades.
Skills and Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree and a Professional Qualification in Accounting / Finance (e.g., CA Sri Lanka, ACCA, CIMA – partly or fully qualified).
- Minimum 3 years in a manufacturing environment & 2 years in an audit firm with experience in accounting, auditing, and taxation.
- Thorough knowledge of Sri Lanka Accounting Standards (SLFRS/LKAS), Inland Revenue Act, VAT, SSCL, and other statutory regulations.
- Hands-on experience in financial reporting, budgeting, and related areas.
- Experience in handling external and internal audits.
- Sound knowledge of ERP/Accounting Software (Odoo / SAGE) and Microsoft Office.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet strict deadlines.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- High level of integrity, professionalism, and attention to detail.
Description of Duties and Responsibilities
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with applicable accounting standards.
- Maintain accurate accounting records and ensure timely reconciliation of general ledger accounts.
- Prepare and submit statutory returns, including VAT, SSL, Income Tax, EPF/ETF, WHT, and other regulatory filings within stipulated deadlines.
- Coordinate and facilitate internal and external audit activities by providing required documentation and explanations.
- Ensure compliance with statutory, tax, and corporate governance requirements.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly management reports.
- Supervise and guide junior accounting staff while ensuring accuracy and efficiency in daily operations.
- Liaise with auditors, tax consultants, banks, and government authorities on financial and taxation matters.
- Assist in developing and improving accounting policies, internal controls, and financial procedures.
- Perform any other accounting and finance-related duties assigned by management.
