Operations Manager – Plantation & Agriculture
Location: Nattandiya
Noorani Estates (Pvt) Ltd is a leading agribusiness/plantation company in Sri Lanka, committed to sustainable farming, high-yield crop production, and modern agricultural innovation. We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Operations Manager to oversee our estate operations, drive production efficiency, and lead our field teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Estate Operations: Oversee day-to-day field operations including planting, crop maintenance, harvesting and processing.
- Team Management: Lead, mentor and supervise estate staff, field officers and laborers to ensure maximum productivity and safety compliance.
- Resource Allocation: Manage estate budgets, control operational costs, and optimize the use of fertilizers, machinery, and water resources.
- Modernization: Implement smart agriculture technologies, sustainable farming practices, and organic or precision agriculture techniques.
- Quality Control: Ensure strict adherence to agricultural standards, food safety regulations, and environmental guidelines.
- Reporting: Maintain profitability of the agri-business while keeping detailed records of crop yields, inventory and report regularly to top management.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree/Diploma in Agriculture, Agribusiness, Plantation Management, or a related field.
- 5+ years of proven experience in estate/plantation
- Strong leadership, decision-making, and crisis-management skills.
- Proficiency in modern agronomy, crop protection and Agri-project management.
- Fluency in English and Sinhala, Tamil will be an advantage
