DEPUTY MANAGER – MACHINE RELIABILITY (MTD)

Job Summary
Ensure asset reliability by implementing and sustaining Predictive Maintenance (PdM) programs and strategies in accordance with organizational standards for all areas in SMQDC. Measuring and analyzing the reliability of machinery and equipment through data collection, analysis, and retention. Will serve as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for Predictive Maintenance (PdM), Reliability Analysis, providing technical guidance and leader for Reliability Centered Maintenance.
Key Responsibilities
- Responsible for implementing and maintaining world class maintenance Best Practices as defined in the RCM Model by safeguarding the sustainability of the RCM strategies at Midigama Tire Division (MTD) and ensuring continuous improvements in the Engineering function to support business requirements.
- Implement activities and programs related to the Reliability of the Plant Machinery by applying RCM Tools and Techniques to maximize the availability of the machines.
- Development and sustainability of Lubrication Program (LPD)
- Conduct Zero Break Down project for minimizing machine breakdowns.
- Propose and undertake RCM Projects to improve machine reliability.
- Liaise with Activity Engineering Managers to implement engineering strategies that are appropriate for their machine reliability.
- Act as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) in vibration data analysis, vibration spectrum analysis, troubleshooting, infrared thermography analysis, laser shaft alignment, ultrasound analysis, motor circuit analysis (MCA), troubleshooting, and in-situ balancing of rotating machinery while providing technical guidance to other Reliability Specialists.
- Failure Analysis: Lead formal Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA) for critical or chronic equipment breakdowns
- Technician Mentorship: Establish strict standards and upskill the internal maintenance technician team in precision skills including laser alignment, Vibration monitoring, dynamic balancing, and proper lubrication execution.
Requirements
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronic Engineering, NDT or any other equivalent qualification.
Experience
- Minimum 4 years’ related experience preferably in a manufacturing organization.
Skills
- Vibration Certification: ISO 18436-2 Category II or ASNT Level II certification is preferred.
- Certified Maintenance & Reliability Professional (CMRP)
- Machinery Lubricant Analyst / Technician - Level I
- Additional skills as listed in the advert, including Machinery Lubricant Analyst / Technician - Level I.
