Role Overview
The Internal Audit Associates at Central Industries PLC plays a critical role in safeguarding corporate assets, ensuring compliance, and driving operational efficiency. Reporting to the Head of Internal Audit, this dynamic role moves beyond desk analysis to evaluate risk and practical business solutions on-site across our commercial operations, outstation branches, and advanced manufacturing facilities in Wattala and Yakkala.
Responsibilities
- Conduct internal audit assignments in accordance with the annual audit plan.
- Identify areas for improvement and recommend practical solutions to enhance efficiency and governance.
- Prepare detailed audit reports and present findings to the Head-Internal Audit.
- Coordinate with various departments and assist in the implementation of audit recommendations.
- Ensure timely follow-up on outstanding audit issues.
- Travel to outstation locations as required for factory, field, and distributor audits.
Requirements
- CBA or CCA Qualification of CA Sri Lanka, or an equivalent qualification from CIMA, ACCA, AAT, or any other recognized professional body.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in internal auditing, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial setting will be advantageous.
- Strong understanding of internal control frameworks, risk assessment, and audit techniques.
- Proficiency in MS Office and familiarity with ERP systems.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and report-writing skills.
- Ability to work independently and handle multiple assignments.
- Male candidates below 30 years of age are preferred due to travel and operational requirements.
