Supervisor – Operations
McLarens Group is now seeking an aspiring, energetic, and competent individual to join its subsidiary company, Spectra Logistics (Pvt) Limited. Spectra is one of Sri Lanka’s leading providers of end-to-end logistics services encompassing contract logistics, container depot, integrated transportation, and customs brokerage. We meet our customers’ logistics and supply chain needs through a combination of our operational and service excellence and our extensive resources, which include the Spectra Distribution Center at the Spectra Logistics Park in Wattala and a well-equipped container yard with our own vehicle fleet.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and manage container transport operations efficiently.
- Plan and schedule work based on operational requirements.
- Assign duties to drivers and helpers and ensure operational deadlines are met.
- Update operational data in the Transport Management System (TMS) and maintain related Google Sheets.
- Monitor vehicle movements using the GPS tracking system.
- Report vehicle accidents with full details and attend to incidents when required.
- Handle operational cash transactions and maintain proper records.
Skills and Experience Required
- G.C.E. Advanced Level qualification with a minimum of three passes.
- Minimum one year of experience in a similar role or operational environment.
- Ability to interpret operational forecasts and plan work schedules accordingly.
- Computer literacy with working knowledge of MS Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Good knowledge of GPS tracking systems and Transport Management Systems (TMS).
