R & D Executive

Key Responsibilities
- Conduct laboratory and plant-scale trials for new and existing products.
- Assist in developing and improving product formulations.
- Develop and evaluate raw materials and packing materials according to product requirements.
- Conduct trials and evaluations for alternative raw materials and packing materials.
- Maintain technical specifications and records for raw materials and packing materials.
- Prepare R&D trial reports and technical evaluation reports.
- Support product scale-up from laboratory to production.
- Conduct product and material comparisons and benchmarking when required.
- Assist in cost reduction and product improvement projects.
- Investigate product, raw material and packaging-related issues and recommend solutions.
- Coordinate with QA, Production, Procurement, Marketing, Supply Chain and suppliers for R&D activities.
- Support supplier evaluations and approval of new materials.
- Maintain accurate R&D records, formulations, specifications and other technical documents.
- Ensure all R&D activities are carried out according to company procedures and food safety requirements.
- Perform any other R&D-related duties assigned by the R&D Manager.
Candidate Profile
- Degree in Food Science, Food Technology, Chemistry or a related field.
- Minimum 02 years experience in food manufacturing industry with exposure to the packaging material development.
- Basic knowledge of packing materials and packaging development.
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Good knowledge of MS Office, particularly Excel.
- Ability to manage multiple trials and activities within given timelines.
