HEAD OF MARKETING & TECHNICAL
The sustainable energy arm of the David Pieris Group of Companies, David Pieris Renewable Energy (Private) Limited (DPRE) currently provides off-grid, hybrid, and on-grid roof-mounted solar and hot water solutions for both domestic and corporate customers. We are seeking a highly accomplished, strategic, and results-oriented professional to lead the Company's Marketing and Technical functions, driving sustainable business growth and operational excellence in the renewable energy sector.
Key Scope of Responsibilities
- Provide strategic leadership and direction to the Sales, Technical, and After-Sales Service functions to achieve the Company's strategic and financial objectives.
- Drive business growth by formulating and executing commercial strategies, expanding market presence, and strengthening relationships with customers, principals, consultants, developers, utilities, and other key stakeholders.
- Lead the Company's high level directions for engineering, project delivery, technical support, and after-sales service functions, ensuring operational excellence, technical integrity, and superior customer satisfaction.
- Provide leadership, guidance, and performance oversight to the Heads of Sales with Marketing functions, Technical, and After-Sales Service to achieve revenue, profitability, project delivery, quality, and customer service targets.
- Skill development support to the preparation and review of technical and commercial proposals, tender submissions, contract negotiations, and major project bids.
- Assume overall responsibility for departmental budgets, business performance, profitability, and the achievement of agreed business objectives.
- Provide strategic leadership for the Company's overseas business development and technical operations, supporting regional expansion and international business initiatives.
- Champion innovation, continuous improvement, digital transformation, and operational excellence to strengthen the Company's market leadership.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable regulatory requirements, quality management systems, and Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE) standards.
- Report business performance and strategic initiatives to the Chief Operating Officer and the Board of Directors.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's Degree or a recognized professional qualification in Engineering, Business Administration, Marketing, or a related discipline. An MBA or other relevant postgraduate qualification will be a distinct advantage.
- A minimum of 10-15 years of progressive senior management experience in the renewable energy, power, electrical engineering, or EPC sector, with a proven track record in leading marketing and technical functions.
- Demonstrated success in driving business growth, managing large-scale engineering or infrastructure projects, and leading multidisciplinary teams.
- Strong commercial acumen with excellent strategic planning, negotiation, leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Overseas exposure or experience in renewable energy markets will be a distinct advantage.
