ENGINEERING MANAGER – MANUFACTURING
Location: Anuradhapura
A leading manufacturing company is seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to lead the engineering and maintenance operations of a large-scale manufacturing facility in Anuradhapura. This senior leadership role is ideal for a hands-on engineer with expertise in heavy machinery, industrial manufacturing, and factory performance improvement.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead engineering and maintenance operations to maximise machinery reliability and efficiency.
- Implement preventive and predictive maintenance systems to reduce downtime.
- Oversee major repairs, equipment upgrades, and engineering projects.
- Improve OEE, maintenance KPIs, energy efficiency, and production performance.
- Manage engineering budgets, spare parts, suppliers, and contractors.
- Drive automation, process improvements, and team development.
- Report engineering performance, risks, and improvement initiatives to the CEO.
IDEAL CANDIDATE
- 10+ years of experience in industrial manufacturing and heavy machinery.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical and/or electrical engineering systems.
- Proven experience in maintenance management, root-cause analysis, OEE, and engineering project management.
- Excellent leadership, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience in ceramics, roof tiles, bricks, cement, steel, or other heavy manufacturing industries is an advantage.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, Industrial Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
- Professional engineering or postgraduate qualifications are an added advantage.
LOCATION ANURADHAPURA
Candidates must be willing to relocate permanently.
