EXECUTIVE - LOGISTICS
Ceylon Cold Stores PLC (CCS), manufacturer of Elephant House Soft Drinks and Ice Creams is a leading consumer food company in Sri Lanka. CCS is a subsidiary of John Keells Holdings PLC.
The company is seeking a suitable candidate to fill the position of Executive - Logistics. The position exists to oversee and coordinate daily finished goods loading operations, ensuring timely, accurate, and efficient product dispatches while maintaining high standards of safety, inventory accuracy, customer satisfaction, and cost efficiency.
The role is responsible for managing loading resources, monitoring operational KPIs, ensuring compliance with warehouse procedures, and driving continuous improvement initiatives. Additionally, the FBS Loading Executive is responsible for supporting inventory control activities, including monthly stock counts, cycle counts, stock reconciliations, FIFO compliance, and maintaining accurate inventory records to support operational excellence and business continuity.
The selected candidates will be responsible for:
- Effective inventory management, adherence to FIFO principles, and timely identification and resolution of stock variances.
- Accurate and error-free loading of distributor trucks in accordance with established procedures and delivery requirements.
- Responsible for the truck turnaround time.
- Maintain the physical quality of goods by ensuring proper storage conditions, handling practices, and overall physical condition are consistently maintained.
- Ensuring compliance with applicable ISO requirements related to QMS, FSMS, EMS, and OHSMS within the respective area.
Required qualifications and skills:
- Degree/Diploma in Warehouse Management / Materials Management or equivalent from a recognized Institute / University. Minimum of 2-3 years’ working experience in a SAP based Manufacturing environment is preferred.
- Understanding the Critical Processes involved in a warehouse operation.
- Knowledge in transport management, warehouse management, production systems, health and safety systems, financial management, and modern process technology.
- Skills in planning and control, organizing, communication, interpersonal relations, leadership and motivation, a quality mindset, and the ability to quickly adjust to changing business requirements.
