Civil Engineer
The Civil Engineer will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating civil and building construction activities at the project site, ensuring that all works are executed in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, quality standards, safety requirements, and project schedules.
Job Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate day-to-day civil and building construction activities at the project site.
- Ensure construction works are carried out in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, method statements, and project requirements.
- Review and interpret structural, architectural, and civil construction drawings.
- Monitor the quality, progress, and workmanship of construction activities.
- Coordinate with subcontractors, consultants, suppliers, and site teams to ensure smooth project execution.
- Conduct regular site inspections and identify construction issues, defects, or deviations from approved requirements.
- Assist in resolving technical and construction-related issues in coordination with the project management team.
- Ensure proper setting out, levels, dimensions, and alignment of construction works.
- Monitor the use of materials and ensure compliance with approved specifications and quality standards.
- Participate in meetings, inspections, testing, and commissioning activities as required.
- Support the Project Manager and senior engineers in achieving project objectives, quality standards, and completion targets.
Candidate Profile
- BSc in Civil Engineering with a minimum of 3 years of relevant site experience, or
- Diploma in Civil Engineering with a minimum of 5 years of relevant site experience.
- Proven experience in building construction projects is essential.
- Strong knowledge of civil and building construction methods and practices.
- Good understanding of construction drawings, specifications, and technical documentation.
- Strong site supervision, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet project deadlines.
- Proficiency in relevant engineering and construction software will be an added advantage.
- Strong commitment to quality, safety, accuracy, and professional standards.
