Junior Executive - Finance

This role is responsible for supporting finance operations through effective inventory and treasury management activities. The position involves processing and verifying Tea Goods Received Notes (GRNs), conducting stock counts and inventory reconciliations, investigating stock variances, and ensuring the accuracy of inventory movements across warehouses and operations. The role also includes preparing bank reconciliations, recording treasury-related transactions, supporting month-end and year-end closing activities, and ensuring compliance with company policies, internal controls, and audit requirements while coordinating with relevant stakeholders to maintain accurate financial records.

PERSONAL PROFILE

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Commerce, or a related discipline, with active pursuit of a professional qualification such as CA Sri Lanka, ACCA, CIMA, CMA, or an equivalent qualification
  • Strong analytical and reconciliation skills with sound knowledge of inventory management, stock controls, bank reconciliations, and accounting processes
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and ERP systems with excellent attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to work independently, manage deadlines, and effectively coordinate with internal and external stakeholders
  • Experience in stock reconciliation, warehouse inventory management, and treasury operations will be an added advantage
  • High level of integrity, accuracy, and commitment to compliance and internal controls
