KITCHEN HELPER
Location: Male', Maldives
We are looking for a Kitchen Helper with a strong work ethic, a willingness to learn, and the ability to work effectively as part of a professional kitchen team.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist with daily food preparation, including washing, peeling, cutting and portioning ingredients.
- Support chefs with ingredient preparation and kitchen organisation.
- Wash dishes, utensils and kitchen equipment throughout service.
- Maintain clean, organised and hygienic workstations, storage areas and kitchen equipment.
- Receive and store deliveries under the supervision of the Head Chef.
- Follow food safety, hygiene and sanitation standards at all times.
- Assist with general kitchen duties to ensure the smooth operation of the kitchen.
CANDIDATE PROFILE
- Minimum of 1 year's experience in a commercial kitchen, hotel, restaurant, café or other professional food preparation environment.
- Genuine interest in learning professional cooking skills and developing a career in the hospitality industry.
- Able to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
- Physically fit and able to perform manual work for extended periods.
- Basic English literacy and communication skills – able to read and write simple English, understand verbal instructions, and communicate effectively in the kitchen.
- Quick learner with the ability to follow instructions accurately and adapt to new procedures.
- Good understanding of cleanliness, personal hygiene and food safety.
- Positive attitude and ability to work effectively as part of a team.

SALARY & BENEFITS
- Salary: US$ 400
- Food allowance: MVR 1500
