STORES EXECUTIVE
Ceylon Cold Stores PLC (CCS), manufacturer of Elephant House Soft Drinks and Ice Creams is a leading consumer food company in Sri Lanka. CCS is a subsidiary of John Keells Holdings PLC.
The company is seeking a suitable candidate to fill the position of Stores Executive. The position exists for effective management of Engineering spare part stocks within statutory and organizational guidelines with the objective of ensuring availability of required stocks at the required time, in the required quantity, quality and with in the approved budget and provisions.
The selected candidates will be responsible for:
- Monitor consumptions, generate purchase requisitions, issue and receive items as per purchase orders while ensuring quality and specifications, coordinate with Procurement to meet delivery timelines and coordinate with engineers when ordering exceptional items to ensure timely availability and required quality levels.
- Monitoring 5S in stores; ensuring that a systematic method is used for storing of goods; ensuring hygienic conditions are maintained in stores; liaising with the quality dept to ensure that products received comply with quality standards; adhere to ROL & ROQ and frequent review of the same and lean the stock to minimize the stock holding cost.
- Responsible for maintaining applicable ISO requirements related to QMS, FSMS, EMS & OHSMS in the respective area. Zero major non-conformities at the audits.

Required qualifications and skills:
- Degree / Diploma in material management/inventory control or equivalent with 1-2 years experience in a similar capacity in a FMCG store handling environment.
- Trade Practices in a Factory environment/FMCG industry.
- Stores Management, quality identification, specifications of engineering processes, spare part management. Modern stock management and cost reduction techniques.
- Interpersonal skills, motivational skills, decision making skills, ability to work long hours, communication skills, customer satisfaction, response quickly, follow up and timely attending to the relevant task.
