SENIOR RISK ANALYST – MARKET RISK

The job holder is responsible for ensuring that the bank /subsidiaries operate within a defined risk appetite with regard to Market Risk / Liquidity Risk/ Credit & Operational risks, related to Treasury activities and monitoring compliance and timely management reporting.

THE JOB

  • Monitor Treasury market, liquidity and balance sheet risk exposures, ensuring compliance with internal risk limits, regulatory requirements and market conduct standards
  • Conduct risk analysis, monitor Key Risk Indicators (KRIs), identify early warning signals, and provide timely risk reports and recommendations to the management
  • Support the review and enhancement of Treasury policies, procedures, risk frameworks, stress testing methodologies, and contingency funding plans in line with regulatory and business requirements
  • Coordinate Treasury-related system enhancements and implementations and assist in maintaining the effectiveness of risk monitoring and reporting systems
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards, valuation policies, regulatory disclosures and daily market data requirements for Treasury and balance sheet revaluation processes
  • Liaise with Treasury, Finance, Operations, Internal Audit, External Auditors, Regulators and other stakeholders to support effective risk management, governance and control practices

THE PERSON

  • Be qualified in ACI Operations Certificate or Diploma in Treasury & Risk Management (IBSL) OR Certificate Programme in Foreign Exchange Operations (CBS)
  • Diploma/Bachelor degree in Commerce, Finance, Banking or CIMA / CFA level 1 / FRM level 1 will be an added advantage
  • Possess at least 8 years of banking experience with a minimum of 5 years of work experience in a Treasury Middle Office / Treasury Back Office position in a Licensed Commercial Bank
  • Possess excellent communication and analytical Skills
  • Possess strong leadership and decision-making skills

The position is at Deputy Manager/ Senior Deputy Manager Level
