Job Description
EXECUTIVE - TRADE FINANCE
The Job Holder is responsible for managing all Trade Finance products including LC Document Checking by providing accurate trade processing for Wholesale Banking, PF, Business Banking and Retail Banking customers while managing operational risks and maintaining the service levels agreed with the respective business lines.
THE JOB
- Processing transactions while maintaining SLA standards and Day to day transaction processing
- Providing outstanding internal/external customer service exceeding customer expectations
- Delivering services as per agreed Service Level Agreements
- Adhering to regulatory, compliance and managing operational risks
- Timely submission of monthly G/L reconciliations to Finance
- Effective clearance of Nostro Account reconciliations ensuring no long outstanding items
- Identification of process and system deviations, errors or issues and appropriate timely action taken
- Support on the job rotation plan for the staff within the unit and ensure availability of at least one backup staff for every seat
- Encouraging staff for appropriate trainings and the number of trainings attended by subordinates
THE PERSON
- Possess a Diploma in Trade Finance / Diploma in Banking and Finance or related field
- Possess minimum 06 years of experience in Trade Finance
- ICC trade qualifications (CDCS, CSDG, CITF, and CSCF) would be an added advantage
- Have adequate knowledge on UCP 600, ISBP, URDG 758, URC 522, and Incoterms at an expert level
- Possess strong customer relationship skills and good teamwork
- Possess good communication
