ELECTRICIAN / SENIOR ELECTRICIAN
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out electrical installation, maintenance, troubleshooting and repair works for residential, commercial and company projects.
- Inspect, maintain and repair electrical panels, distribution boards, MCCs, MCBs/MCCBs, RCDs, SPDs, contactors, control wiring and related equipment.
- Perform electrical wiring, cable installation and termination, conduit/trunking, lighting, socket outlets, DB works, and maintenance of Solar PV and Lightning Protection Systems.
- Conduct independent site visits, assess faults, take measurements, identify material requirements, attend pre-bid site inspections, and prepare site inspection and work-completion reports.
- Coordinate and supervise subcontractor teams while ensuring quality workmanship, compliance with project requirements, safe electrical practices and company HSE standards.
Qualifications & Experience
- NVQ Level 4 or above in Electrical Installation, Electrical Engineering, or an equivalent recognized technical qualification.
- Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience in electrical installation, wiring, maintenance, troubleshooting and repair, preferably in residential and commercial projects.
- Strong ability to work independently in electrical wiring, panel/DB works, fault finding, repairs and use of electrical testing instruments.
- Knowledge of electrical drawings, wiring diagrams and protection devices; experience in Solar PV systems, Lightning Protection Systems and earthing will be an added advantage.
- Good communication, coordination, problem-solving and customer-handling skills, with a valid Sri Lankan driving licence and willingness to travel to project and customer sites.
