QUALITY ASSURANCE AND QUALITY CONTROL ENGINEER (FULL TIME)
SITE
KILINOCHCHI
PRIMARY OBJECTIVE :
To ensure the implementation of quality assurance and quality control systems at our Kilinochchi site, and to maintain high standards of workmanship, materials, and processes in accordance with project specifications, statutory requirements, and industry standards.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Develop and implement Quality Assurance Plans and Inspection and Test Plans.
- Monitor and inspect construction works, materials, and workmanship to ensure compliance with approved drawings, specifications, and quality standards.
- Carry out quality inspections at various stages of construction activities.
- Maintain quality records, inspection reports, and documentation.
- Identify and report quality issues and take corrective actions for timely resolution.
- Coordinate with project teams, consultants, and contractors on quality-related matters.
- Ensure compliance with statutory requirements and relevant industry standards including HSE, IESL.
- Provide guidance and training to site staff and subcontractors on quality best practices.
QUALIFICATIONS :
- Should possess a B.Sc. Degree in Civil Engineering or an equivalent qualification recognized by the Engineering Council, with a minimum of 5–10 years of experience in quality assurance and quality control in construction projects.
- Membership of the Institute of Engineers Sri Lanka (IESL) or equivalent professional qualification will be an added advantage.
- Experience in preparing and implementing QA/QC plans, inspection and test plans.
- Good knowledge of construction materials, testing methods, and relevant standards.
- Strong analytical, communication, and reporting skills.
- Ability to work with project teams, consultants, suppliers, subcontractors, and site staff effectively.
