We are seeking a highly experienced and technically proficient Technical Manager to join our team in the GCC. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing technical operations related to ready-made garment manufacturing, ensuring product quality, technical accuracy, production efficiency, and compliance with industry standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee all technical aspects of ready-made garment manufacturing from product development through bulk production.
- Review tech packs, garment specifications, construction details, measurement charts, patterns, samples, and buyer requirements.
- Coordinate pattern development, grading, garment fitting, size specifications, and technical corrections to ensure accurate production.
- Review and approve development samples, fit samples, and production samples, size sets, and production standards.
- Work closely with production, merchandising, quality, cutting, sewing, finishing, and planning teams to resolve technical issues.
- Identify recurring production and garment construction problems and implement effective corrective and preventive actions.
- Support the reduction of fabric wastage, rework, alterations, production losses, and unnecessary manufacturing costs.
- Load, train, and supervise technical staff, pattern makers, sample room personnel, and other relevant production teams.
- Ensure finished garments meet approved technical specifications and the company's required quality standards.
Candidate Requirements
- Proven experience as a Technical Manager, Technical Head, Garment Technologist, or similar senior technical position within the ready-made garment/apparel manufacturing industry.
- Strong understanding of garment construction, pattern making, grading, fitting, sewing operations, fabric characteristics, and finishing techniques.
- Comprehensive knowledge of garment manufacturing processes, production methods, quality standards, and technical specifications.
- Excellent ability to identify technical issues and provide practical solutions to improve garment quality and production efficiency.
- Strong leadership and team-management capabilities with the ability to coordinate effectively with multiple departments.
- Exceptional attention to garment measurements, construction, workmanship, fitting, and technical specifications.
- Ability to communicate effectively with management, production teams, merchandisers, suppliers, and customers/buyers.
- Ability to work on-site at our facilities in the GCC.
