QUANTITY SURVEYOR
Position: Full-Time | Immediate Joining
We are looking for an experienced and qualified Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our team on a full-time basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing both Civil and MEP quantity surveying activities, together with the preparation and management of contract and tender documentation, from project inception through to completion.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage all Civil and MEP quantity surveying activities independently with minimal supervision.
- Prepare and review Bills of Quantities (BOQs), quantity take-offs, cost estimates, tender documents and pricing schedules for both Civil and MEP works.
- Review architectural, structural and MEP drawings, specifications and other contract documents to ensure accurate measurement and costing.
- Prepare, review and coordinate contract documents, including conditions of contract, specifications, BOQs, schedules and other relevant tender documentation.
- Assist in tender preparation, tender evaluation, commercial analysis and recommendation.
- Monitor project costs, variations, valuations, payment certificates and final accounts.
- Assess and prepare variations, claims and contractual submissions where required.
- Coordinate with architects, engineers, MEP consultants, contractors and project management teams on commercial and contractual matters.
- Ensure quantities, rates, costs and contractual requirements are accurately coordinated across Civil, Structural, Architectural and MEP disciplines.
- Provide commercial and contractual advice to the project/design team when required.
- Support the preparation and review of subcontractor and main contract documentation.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management or a related field. NDT, NCT or equivalent qualifications with substantial relevant experience will also be considered.
- Minimum 7 years of relevant Quantity Surveying experience, preferably with consultancy or multidisciplinary design firms.
- Strong experience in both Civil and MEP Quantity Surveying is essential.
- Proven experience in preparation of BOQs, cost estimates, tender documents and contract documentation.
- Strong knowledge of Civil, Structural, Architectural and MEP works, specifications and construction practices.
- Strong understanding of contract administration, variations, claims, valuations and final accounts.
- Ability to read and interpret architectural, structural and MEP drawings and specifications.
- Proficiency in quantity surveying measurement methods and relevant QS software. Knowledge of AutoCAD and/or BIM/Revit will be an added advantage.
- Excellent communication, coordination and analytical skills.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple assignments and meet deadlines.
- Willingness to work on weekends when required.
