MANAGER – MANAGEMENT INFORMATION SYSTEMS (MIS)

JOB SUMMARY:
The role involves designing comprehensive financial dashboards, track critical performance metrics, and delivering data-driven insights directly to the senior management to support strategic decision-making. This role bridges complex data pipelines with senior strategy teams to optimize organizational performance and manage risks.
JOB PROFILE:
- Design, develop, and present comprehensive daily, weekly, and monthly MIS dashboards and clear, actionable executive summaries for the Executive Director and Senior Management.
- Track portfolio health, non-performing loans (NPLs), liquidity levels, and profitability trends specific to the Non-Banking Financial Institution (NBFI) sector.
- Oversee the extraction, cleaning, and deep-dive analysis of financial data from core finance systems and ERP's.
- Build robust financial models, business forecasts, scenario plans, and variance analyses comparing actual performance against budgets and strategic targets.
- Ensure absolute data integrity for all reports submitted to the Central Bank of Sri Lanka (CBSL) and other statutory bodies, aligning metrics with evolving regulatory requirements.
- Upgrade and maintain automated reporting tools, database structures, and financial data pipelines while identifying operational inefficiencies and cost-saving opportunities.
PERSONAL PROFILE:
- Degree in Finance, Accounting, Statistics, Computer Science, or Economics from a recognized university with partial professional qualification (CA Sri Lanka, CIMA, ACCA, or equivalent).
- 4 to 6 years of overall experience in finance or data analytics, with at least 1 to 2 years in a managerial role strictly within an NBFI, bank, or the financial services sector.
- Advanced mastery of Google Sheets and the broader Google Workspace (G Suite), collaborative reporting, and automated dashboard setups and data visualization tools (e.g., Looker Studio, Power BI, or Tableau) is a distinct advantage.
- Deep understanding of lending portfolios, credit, lending, gold loan, and financial regulations in Sri Lanka.
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills are required to brief executive leadership effectively.
