Pattern Maker
Location - Kandy
Key Responsibilities
- Responsible for study and understand customer requirements for the styles, including concept sketches, specifications and construction of tech packs
- Attend customer fit sessions (Online and Physical) and note the comments to share necessary amendments with the pattern making and CAD
- Communicate with customer to clarify all technical related concerns to fix all issues prior to finalising the tech packs
- Develop production feasible products for flawless execution during bulk production
- Prioritize the customer requirements for sampling and costing to deliver in timely manner
- Evaluate sample quality, spec measurements and garment fit prior to submitting samples to customer
- Conduct Risk Analysis, Hacking, Pre Production and other internal meetings related to product development
- Actively involve with factory teams for any production issues related to technical and give solutions to minimize production delays
Person Specifications
- Diploma or professional certification in Pattern Making and Grading, or a closely related field
- A minimum of three (3) years of proven experience as a Pattern Maker within the apparel industry
- Comprehensive knowledge of garment construction, sizing systems, grading techniques, and fit standards
- Demonstrated ability to create, interpret, and modify patterns in accordance with design specifications
- Proficiency in both manual and CAD-based pattern-making systems, including Gerber and Lectra
- Proven experience in managing bulk production pattern requirements and effectively resolving fit or pattern-related issues during bulk production
- Strong understanding of fabrics, trims, and garment manufacturing processes
- Ability to work collaboratively with designers, merchandisers, and production teams to ensure product accuracy and quality
- Excellent communication, organizational, and time-management skills
- Experience in bra pattern development and grading will be considered an added advantage
- Essential understanding of production pattern alteration requirements arising from fabric shrinkage characteristics
