Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and maintain product costing and ensure costs are accurately captured and regularly updated.
- Review and analyze gross margins and profitability by product, customer, or business segment.
- Assist management in pricing decisions by providing cost, margin, and profitability analysis.
- Monitor changes in raw material prices, exchange rates, production costs, and other factors affecting product pricing.
- Monitor actual performance against budgets and provide variance analysis with explanations for significant deviations.
- Monitor inventory valuation, stock movements, and inventory-related financial transactions.
- Reconcile physical stock records with accounting records and investigate stock variances.
- Analyze stock aging, slow-moving, non-moving, and obsolete items.
- Assist in determining appropriate provisions for slow-moving, damaged, or obsolete stocks.
- Coordinate with Procurement, Stores, Production, Sales, and Operations teams to ensure accurate costing and inventory information.
- Assist with month-end closing activities relating to inventory, cost of sales, production costs, and accruals.
- Support internal and external audits by providing costing schedules, inventory reconciliations, budget information, and supporting documentation.
- Identify opportunities to improve cost control, pricing accuracy, inventory management, and profitability.
Personal Profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or Part qualified in ACCA, CIMA, CA, CMA or an equivalent professional accounting qualification is preferred.
- 1-2 years of relevant experience in management accounting, financial accounting, or a similar finance role.
- Good knowledge of management accounting principles, budgeting, forecasting, costing, and variance analysis.
- Strong understanding of general ledger accounting and financial reporting.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including PivotTables, formulas, and financial analysis.
- Experience with accounting software/ERP systems (Preferably SAP).
- Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with non-finance teams.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive financial information professionally.

Key Responsibilities
- Manage daily treasury operations, including cash position monitoring, cash flow planning, and fund allocation.
- Prepare and monitor daily bank balances and cash position reports.
- Process and record bank transactions, fund transfers, deposits, withdrawals, and payments.
- Coordinate with banks regarding account-related matters, payments processing, and banking facilities.
- Prepare bank reconciliations and investigate/resolve outstanding or unreconciled items.
- Monitor accounts payable and receivable to ensure adequate cash availability for scheduled payments and collections.
- Maintain accurate records of bank accounts, transactions, and treasury-related documentation.
- Monitor bank charges, interest income/expenses, and other banking costs.
- Assist with foreign currency transactions and monitor exchange-rate movements where applicable.
- Prepare treasury reports for management, including cash flow, bank balances, payment status, and liquidity positions.
- Support month-end and year-end closing activities related to cash and bank accounts.
- Maintain proper controls over company bank accounts and ensure compliance with internal financial procedures.
- Coordinate with the Procurement, and other departments regarding payments and cash requirements.
- Perform other accounting and treasury-related duties assigned by the Finance Manager.
- Maintain accurate records of all company loans, borrowings, and lease agreements.
Personal Profile
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Part qualified in ACCA, CIMA, CA, CMA or an equivalent professional accounting qualification is preferred.
- 1-2 years of relevant experience in treasury, cash management, banking, or a similar finance role.
- Good knowledge of cash flow management, banking processes, and treasury operations.
- Knowledge of foreign currency transactions and exchange-rate management will be an advantage.
- Experience in handling multiple bank accounts and online banking platforms is preferred.
- Strong understanding of general ledger accounting and financial reporting.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including PivotTables, formulas, and financial analysis.
- Experience with accounting software/ERP systems (Preferably SAP)
- Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with non-finance teams.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive financial information professionally
- Good communication and interpersonal skills for dealing with banks, suppliers, internal departments, and management
- Ability to work independently while maintaining strong financial controls and compliance.
- Strong communication skills in English and Sinhalese, with the ability to effectively communicate and coordinate banks and other stakeholders
