Jungle Beach – Trincomalee is seeking an Accounts Supervisor to join our team. The selected candidate will oversee the day-to-day accounting operations of the resort by ensuring accurate financial record keeping, timely reporting, compliance with internal controls, and adherence to company policies and statutory requirements. This role plays a vital part in supporting the financial stability and operational success of the organization.
By maintaining exceptional standards of accuracy and professionalism, as an Accounts Supervisor, you will support the smooth functioning of our finance operations by monitoring financial transactions, coordinating accounts payable and receivable activities, assisting with financial reporting, and ensuring compliance with established accounting procedures. We are looking for a dedicated professional who understands that sound financial management is fundamental to delivering outstanding hospitality experiences.
The Ideal Profile We Are Looking For:
- A Proven Track Record: Minimum 2–3 years of prior experience in a similar role, preferably in a luxury resort or boutique hotel. Experience in supervising accounting functions and financial processes is preferred.
- Financial and Technical Knowledge: Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, budgeting, reconciliations, accounts payable and receivable processes, and internal controls. Familiarity with accounting software and Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, is essential.
- Collaboration and Accountability: A dependable team player who works closely with department heads, management, auditors, and finance team members to ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial data while meeting reporting deadlines.
- Analytical and Organizational Skill: A detail-oriented professional with strong analytical abilities who can effectively prioritize tasks, identify discrepancies, maintain accurate records, and support informed business decision-making.
- Professional Qualifications: A Degree in Accounting / Finance, or a related discipline, or part qualification in CA Sri Lanka, ACCA, CIMA, or an equivalent professional accounting body.
