SAFE Foundation is a non-profit organization registered under the Voluntary Social Services Act as a National NGO, working with marginalized and vulnerable communities and children for more than 19 years. The project – “Together We Rise (TWR)” has been implemented by SAFE Foundation for three years. The project focuses on strengthening the capacity, participation, and sustainability of Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) and community-based organizations. The project works with CSO partners in Kurunegala, Puttalam, Kandy, and Nuwara Eliya districts.
The TWR Project aims to strengthen CSOs as effective actors in development and governance by improving their organizational systems, leadership, management capacity, community engagement, and sustainability. The organizational capacity-building component focuses on six key pillars: 1. Governance and Leadership 2. Financial Management and Compliance 3. Inclusion, Safeguarding, and Gender Equality 4. Civic Engagement and Advocacy 5. Digital Capacity and Innovation 6. Resilience and Sustainability.
As part of the project, SAFE Foundation intends to engage an experienced consultants for Capacity Development to facilitate capacity development activities of CSOs, such as reviewing their organizational performance and progress, identifying key capacity gaps, and introducing the CSO Organizational Assessment Tools.
