Uga Resorts is seeking an Accountant to join our Finance Team, to lead the daily finance operations at Uga Ulagalla — Anuradhapura. We are looking for a hands-on finance professional who is passionate about numbers, excels at financial analysis, is committed to maintaining accuracy and integrity in financial reporting, and ensures our day-to-day finance operations run seamlessly.
By championing our finance strategy, as an Accountant, you will provide meaningful financial insights, support strategic decision-making, and contribute to the organization's financial success. We are looking for a professional who understands that behind every stunning property and breathtaking guest experience lies sound financial management, accurate reporting, and a commitment to supporting informed business decisions.
The Ideal Profile We Are Looking For:
- A Proven Track Record: Minimum of 7-10 years of progressive experience in finance and accounting, ideally with a strong background within the luxury hospitality or premium resort sector.
- Deep Financial Knowledge: Hands on expertise in all core areas of finance from complex budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management to maintaining strict compliance, internal controls, and audit readiness.
- Strategic Business Acumen: A strong commercial mindset with the ability to act as a team player, helping the team balance profitability with a high end guest experience.
- Empathetic & Visionary Leadership: Extraordinary interpersonal and communication skills, coupled with an empathetic leadership style that inspires trust, commands respect, and builds deep organizational harmony.
- Professional Qualifications: A bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field. Part qualification in professional membership (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent) will be an added advantage.
