VACANCY FOR THE POST OF IE EXECUTIVE / IE OFFICER

THE ABOVE VACANCY IS FOR THE GARMENT FACTORY IN PALLEKELE, KANDY INDUSTRIAL ZONE
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Conduct Time Studies, Method Studies and Work Studies for garment operations.
- Calculate and maintain SMV/SAM accurately.
- Prepare and update Operation Bulletins (OBs) and operation breakdowns.
- Carry out line balancing and optimize manpower allocation.
- Monitor daily production efficiency, productivity, utilization and idle time.
- Identify production bottlenecks and implement corrective actions.
- Support capacity planning, manpower planning and production target setting.
- Analyze production data and prepare daily/weekly IE reports.
- Work closely with Production, QA, Technical and Mechanical teams to improve production flow.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement, waste reduction and productivity enhancement.
- Support style changes and ensure smooth production start-up.
- Monitor operator performance and identify skill development requirements.
- Assist management in achieving planned output and efficiency targets.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
- Degree/Diploma in Industrial Engineering, Clothing Technology, Textile Technology, Production Engineering or a related field.
- IE Executive: Minimum 2 years' relevant experience in apparel manufacturing.
- IE Officer: 1–2 years' experience in IE/Work Study; fresh candidates with relevant qualifications may also be considered.
- Sound knowledge of Time Study, Method Study, SMV/SAM and Line Balancing.
- Good knowledge of MS Excel and MS Office.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills.
- Practical exposure to sewing floor operations will be an advantage.
