FINANCE MANAGER - CONTROLLING (PUTTALAM)
Scope of the Role
The purpose of the Finance Controlling Manager - Production position is to support effective performance management, analysis, and financial control. While monitoring, analyzing, and managing the operational and financial aspects of the company to support strategic/ operational decision-making ensuring financial returns and stability. Other activities as assigned – such as SAP Super User, inventory counts, management reporting, and support other projects.
Responsibilities
- Understand business and financial governance and propose adequate processes, policies, procedures, and internal controls to achieve speed and productivity on planning and cost control while assuring compliance with tax, laws, policies, procedures, and internal controls.
- Ensure accuracy and timely processing and submission of all financial reports, forecasts and transactions, accounting records by reviews, reconciliations, and analysis for reporting.
- Conduct thorough analysis of production costs, variances, and performance metrics to identify areas for improvement.
- Collaborate with production managers to develop annual budgets and forecasts aligned with strategic objectives.
- Evaluate existing production processes and financial controls to identify inefficiencies and areas for improvement and implement robust cost control measures to ensure adherence to budgetary constraints.
- Perform other related duties as assigned such as performance presentations, inventory counts, asset verification, learning other areas etc.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field. Master's degree or professional certification (e.g., CA, CIMA) is preferred.
- At least 4-5 years of working experience in production finance controlling/ manufacturing finance business partnering or related fields (Experience in financial analysis, budgeting, and cost control preferably within a manufacturing or production environment).
- Knowledge of SAP modules FICO, MM etc.
- Strong analytical & problem solving skills.
