TRANSPORT MANAGER/ ASSISTANT TRANSPORT MANAGER
LOCATION: EMBILIPITIYA
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Oversee and manage all company transport operations, including scheduling, route planning, and vehicle maintenance.
- Monitor and ensure compliance with transport regulations and company policies.
- Supervise and lead the team of drivers and staff.
- Manage fuel consumption and expenses to optimize cost-efficiency.
- Coordinate with other departments to ensure timely and efficient transportation services.
- Maintain detailed records of vehicle usage, servicing, and documentation.
- Handle issues related to vehicle breakdowns, accidents, and delays.
REQUIREMENT:
- Bachelor's degree or diploma in Logistics, Transport Management, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in transport or fleet management.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Good communication skills in English and Sinhala.
- Proficiency in MS Office and transport management software.
- A valid driving license.
- Familiarity with GPS and fleet tracking systems is an advantage.
- Ability to work under pressure and handle dynamic schedules.
