POST OF QUALITY EXECUTIVE/ SENIOR QUALITY EXECUTIVE
Ceylon Eco Spices (Pvt) Ltd is a leading exporter of premium Ceylon spices, with a head office in Colombo and state-of-the-art facilities in Mahiyanganaya and Naula. The company exports to 30+ international destinations and serves 200+ reputed global customers, and also has value-added and retail products under its own brand. Ceylon Eco Spices holds Organic, Rainforest Alliance, BRCGS, ISO 22000, GMP, and HACCP Certifications. The company has also won multiple national export awards in the years 2022, 2023 and 2024.
We are a fast-growing Group looking for a Quality Executive/ Senior Quality Executive to join us and build a long-term career. The position is available at our factory operations in Mahiyanganaya and Naula.
Key Tasks:
- Manage and continuously improve the company’s Quality Assurance and Food Safety Management Systems.
- Ensure compliance with BRCGS, ISO 22000, HACCP, GMP, Organic, Rainforest Alliance, Kosher, and other applicable standards and customer requirements.
- Coordinate internal, external, customer, certification, and regulatory audits, ensuring timely completion of corrective actions.
- Develop, review, and maintain quality procedures, SOPs, manuals, product specifications, and records.
- Conduct quality and food safety inspections across production and operational areas.
- Coordinate with Production, R&D, Procurement, Warehouse, and other relevant departments to maintain quality standards.
- Handle customer complaints, quality deviations, investigations, and corrective actions.
- Conduct training programmes on food safety, quality assurance, GMP, HACCP, and certification requirements.
- Maintain effective product traceability and quality documentation systems.
- Prepare quality-related reports for management and support continuous improvement initiatives.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor's Degree in Food Science, Food Technology, Quality Management, Agriculture, Chemistry, or a related field.
- Professional qualifications in Food Safety, HACCP, ISO 22000, BRCGS, or related areas will be an added advantage.
- Minimum 3–5 years of relevant experience in Quality Assurance, Food Safety, Quality Management Systems, or Certifications, preferably in the food, spice, or export industry.
- Strong practical knowledge of HACCP, GMP, ISO 22000, BRCGS, Organic, Rainforest Alliance, and Kosher requirements.
- Experience in certification audits, customer audits, documentation, and compliance monitoring is essential.
- Experience in Kosher certification and audit coordination will be an added advantage.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and coordinate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
