Assistant Manager Trade Marketing
We are seeking a dynamic, commercially driven, and result-oriented Assistant Manager - Trade Marketing - to lead our Trade Marketing agenda across General Trade, Modern Trade, and Key Accounts.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and execute channel strategies and drive channel development initiatives to expand market presence and improve product availability and visibility.
- Evaluate emerging market trends and identify new business opportunities, channels, and distribution models for future growth.
- Develop and execute impactful trade marketing programs that drive consumer acquisition, category growth, market share, and revenue generation.
- Develop trade engagement programs, customer promotions, merchandising initiatives, and point-of-sale execution strategies that enhance shopper conversion.
- Utilize shopper insights, market intelligence, and consumer trends to build winning channel and customer strategies.
- Ensure best-in-class in-store execution through effective merchandising standards, visibility programs, promotional compliance, and sales force alignment.
- Drive the development and execution of emerging channel initiatives including e-commerce and digital commerce platforms.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Management, or a related field.
- Minimum 5-7 years of experience in Trade Marketing, Channel Development, Sales Development, or Commercial Strategy, preferably within the FMCG industry.
- Proven success in developing and executing trade marketing programs that deliver sales growth and market share gains.
- Strong understanding of FMCG distribution, route-to-market models, customer management, and channel economics.
- Strong analytical, commercial, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and presentation capabilities.
- Willingness to travel extensively across Sri Lanka. (This is a Sri Lanka based position)
