Quantity Surveyor (QS)
The National Construction Association of Sri Lanka (NCASL) invites applications from suitably qualified and motivated candidates for the position of Quantity Surveyor (QS) to support the Association's technical, cost analysis, and construction industry-related activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide technical assistance in construction-related matters and support the Association's technical activities.
- Collect, compile, and analyse construction cost data and prevailing market rates.
- Assist in preparing and submitting relevant construction cost information to the appropriate industry authorities.
- Review published construction cost information and assess its alignment with prevailing market conditions.
- Monitor construction material, labour, and other cost trends and identify significant market fluctuations.
- Prepare technical reports, cost analyses, and related documentation to support the Association's activities.
- Liaise with relevant stakeholders to obtain construction-related information and support industry research and representation.
Qualifications and Experience
- A degree, diploma, or equivalent qualification in Quantity Surveying from a recognised institution.
- At least six months of relevant experience in quantity surveying, construction cost estimation, rate analysis, or contract administration.
- Knowledge of construction industry practices, cost trends, and relevant industry standards will be an added advantage.
- Good analytical, report-writing, communication, and computer skills.
