Internal Auditor / Internal Audit Executive
Locations: Boralesgamawa

We are seeking skilled and experienced Internal Auditor/ Audit Executive to join our team.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Conducting internal audits to evaluate the effectiveness of financial controls, risk management systems, and operational processes.
- Develop standard operating procedures (SOPs) for new and existing processes to mitigate risks.
- Provide management with accurate and timely reports on audit findings, including recommendations for improvement.
- Propose recommendations to enhance operational efficiency and identify areas for improvement.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to understand, develop, and implement risk management initiatives.
- Plan and execute audit engagements, including data gathering, analysis, and testing.
- Review financial statements and supporting documentation.
- Perform risk assessments and internal control evaluations and detect discrepancies.
- Identify and investigate potentially fraudulent activities or financial irregularities.
- Monitor the implementation of audit recommendations and execute remedial actions.
- Stay updated with the latest industry regulations and best practices in internal auditing.
- Identify loopholes and recommend risk mitigation methods and cost-saving initiatives.
- Document processes and prepare audit findings memoranda.
- Conduct follow-up audits.
PROFILE / QUALIFICATIONS
- Fully or partly qualified in professional accountancy (CIMA, CA, ACCA, or CMA).
- Ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Excellent report writing skills.
- Strong analytical and data reporting skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Proven work experience in an audit firm or in the commercial sector as part of an internal audit team.
- Advanced computer skills in SAP, Microsoft Office, and databases.
- Willingness to travel as required.
