We are seeking a dynamic and experienced design leader to head our Interior Design team and drive the successful delivery of high-quality turnkey interior projects across commercial and residential sectors.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, inspire, mentor, and develop the Interior Design team, fostering a culture of creativity, collaboration, innovation, and design excellence.
- Collaborate closely with clients to understand their vision, business objectives, functional requirements, and budget, translating these into innovative and practical design concepts delivered within agreed budgets and project timelines.
- Work in close coordination with the Sales, Quantity Surveying (QS) and Project Management teams to ensure seamless project execution from concept through completion.
- Develop and present creative design concepts, space planning solutions, mood boards, material palettes, 3D visualizations, and client presentations for approval.
- Lead the selection and specification of materials, finishes, furniture, fixtures, lighting, and bespoke elements, ensuring quality, functionality, cost-effectiveness, and alignment with the approved design vision.
- Coordinate effectively with clients, architects, consultants, contractors, and suppliers throughout the design and construction phases to maintain design integrity and ensure successful project delivery.
- Review technical drawings, shop drawings, and construction details to ensure designs are achievable and buildable.
- Ensure all designs comply with applicable building regulations, industry standards, health and safety requirements, and sustainability best practices.
Qualifications & Experiences
- Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Interior Design or Interior Architecture.
- Minimum of 10 years' professional experience in interior design or interior architecture, including at least 5 years in a leadership or senior management role.
- Proven experience leading multidisciplinary design teams and delivering large-scale turnkey interior fit-out projects from concept through completion.
- Demonstrated experience in both commercial and residential interior projects.
- Strong project management capabilities, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines and budgets.
- Excellent knowledge of construction methodologies, interior detailing, materials, MEP coordination, and building regulations.
- An outstanding portfolio demonstrating creativity, technical expertise, innovation, and the successful delivery of completed projects across diverse sectors.
- Candidates will be required to present previously implemented projects that were personally conceived, designed, and led by them, clearly demonstrating their individual contribution and ownership from concept development through to project completion, to the management team.
