ASSISTANT MANAGER - WAREHOUSE
Join one of Sri Lanka's leading construction companies and play a key role in managing our centralized warehouse operations while supporting inventory management across multiple project sites.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in managing the day-to-day operations of the Central Warehouse, ensuring efficient receipt, storage, and dispatch of construction materials, tools, equipment, and consumables.
- Supervise and provide functional guidance to project site Storekeepers, ensuring compliance with company inventory and stores procedures.
- Monitor inventory transactions through the ERP system, ensuring accurate recording of receipts, issues, transfers, and stock balances.
- Coordinate material distribution from the Central Warehouse to project sites to ensure uninterrupted project operations.
- Monitor inventory levels across all project locations and coordinate inter-project material transfers to optimize stock utilization.
- Conduct periodic stock verification, inventory reconciliation, and support internal and external audit requirements.
- Liaise with Procurement, Project Teams, and other stakeholders to ensure timely material availability and efficient warehouse operations.
- Prepare inventory reports, monitor key warehouse performance indicators, and drive continuous improvements in warehouse processes.
Requirements:
- Diploma in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Materials Management.
- Minimum 5-7 years of experience in warehouse, stores, or inventory management, including at least 2 years in a supervisory or assistant managerial role.
- Experience in the construction, engineering, or infrastructure sector is highly preferred.
- Sound knowledge of ERP inventory management systems.
