Tax Consultant
We are seeking a seasoned professional in taxation to lead our tax function, ensuring full compliance with all applicable tax regulations while optimizing tax strategies for the company. The ideal candidate should meet the following requirements:
- Must be a former officer of the Inland Revenue Department.
- Minimum of 10 years' experience in taxation within a financial institution or related environment.
- Strong and up-to-date knowledge of local tax laws and regulations.
- Proven ability to manage stakeholder expectations and communicate complex tax matters effectively.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and negotiation skills.
- Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Advise the finance team on all tax compliance matters and represent the company in negotiations with the Inland Revenue Department regarding disputed or incorrect assessments.
- Effectively manage tax assessments, audits, and appeals.
- Analyze tax risks and exposures while providing strategic recommendations for effective mitigation.
- Identify tax-saving opportunities, including applicable incentives and exemptions.
- Collaborate with tax authorities to address legal uncertainties and resolve disputes.
We are looking for a self-motivated and energetic with experience in taxation to advise our finance team in tax compliance. And negotiate with the Inland Revenue on incorrect tax assessments
