We are seeking a responsible and experienced Storekeeper to join our MFC Project team. The ideal candidate should have experience in construction site stores management, material receiving, inventory control, and documentation, with the ability to maintain accurate records and ensure efficient storage and distribution of project materials.
Key Responsibilities:
- Receive, inspect, and verify materials, equipment, and supplies delivered to the project site.
- Check quantities and specifications against Purchase Orders, Delivery Notes, and related documents.
- Properly store and organize construction materials in designated storage areas.
- Issue materials to site teams based on approved Material Requisition Forms.
- Maintain accurate stock records and inventory registers.
- Monitor stock levels and identify materials requiring replenishment.
- Conduct regular physical stock checks and reconcile inventory records.
- Prepare Goods Received Notes (GRN), Material Issue Notes, and other relevant store documents.
- Ensure proper identification, labeling, handling, and preservation of materials.
- Coordinate with procurement, QS, finance, engineers, and site teams regarding material requirements.
- Monitor material movements, transfers, returns, and damaged or unused materials.
- Maintain proper filing and documentation of all store-related records.
- Report shortages, damages, discrepancies, and stock issues to management.
- Ensure the store and storage areas are clean, safe, and properly organized.
- Follow company procedures, project requirements, and health and safety regulations.
Requirements:
- Diploma or above in Store Management, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a Storekeeper, preferably in building construction projects.
- Experience in construction material handling and site stores management.
- Good knowledge of inventory control and stock management procedures.
- Ability to maintain accurate records and documentation.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
- Experience with ERP or inventory management systems will be an advantage.
- Good communication, coordination, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and under pressure.
- Strong attention to detail and responsibility.
- Previous experience in large-scale construction projects will be a significant advantage.
