Senior Executive
Logistics & Imports
You keep the supply line moving – from supplier PO and shipping documents to customs clearance, landed cost and the crate arriving on site the day the installers need it.

What you'll do
- Supplier orders. Raise and track POs with overseas principals and our Dubai office; confirm specs, pricing and lead times.
- Freight. Book sea and air consignments, negotiate rates, and manage forwarders from booking to arrival.
- Customs clearance. Import documentation, HS classification and CusDec; work clearing agents hard to avoid demurrage.
- Landed cost. Duty, VAT, PAL and CESS calculations, and costing sheets that estimation and finance can rely on.
- Approvals. TRCSL and other regulatory approvals for wireless and telecom devices, plus import licences.
- Stores and inventory. Goods receipt, bin locations, stock accuracy, cycle counts and reorder levels in the ERP.
- Site dispatch. Plan material releases with the projects team so every site gets the right kit on the right day.
What we're looking for
- Degree or Diploma in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business Administration or equivalent; CILT or CIPS an advantage.
- 3–4 years in imports, shipping or supply chain, with at least two years handling customs clearance directly.
- Working knowledge of Incoterms, LCs and TT payments, bank and shipping documents, and Sri Lanka Customs procedure.
- Confident with HS classification, duty structures and landed-cost calculation.
- Strong Excel and hands-on ERP experience – GRN, inventory, costing.
- Organised and numerate, and persistent enough to chase agents, banks and suppliers until the container moves.
A PLUS
- Experience importing ELV, AV, IT, Network or electronics; TRCSL device approvals; suppliers in China, the UAE and Europe; free zone or re-export exposure.
