MEDICAL ADMINISTRATIVE SECRETARY

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

  • G.C.E. Advanced Level or equivalent qualification.
  • A recognized qualification in Secretarial Studies, Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, or a related field will be an advantage.
  • Previous experience in a medical, hospital, or healthcare administrative environment is preferred.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Good computer literacy, including proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality and handle sensitive information.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide efficient administrative and secretarial support to medical consultants, doctors, and relevant clinical departments.
  • Manage appointments, schedules, meetings, and correspondence.
  • Prepare, maintain, and organize medical and administrative documents and records.
  • Coordinate communication between medical staff, patients, hospital departments, and external parties.
  • Prepare letters, reports, presentations, minutes, and other official documents.
  • Maintain confidentiality and ensure the secure handling of patient and hospital information.
  • Assist with patient inquiries and provide accurate information in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Maintain filing systems and ensure documents are readily accessible when required.
  • Perform any other administrative duties assigned by the hospital management.
