STORE HELPER
Location: Colombo 05
Be the hands behind a smooth-running store operation!
We are looking for a reliable, energetic, and dedicated Store Helper to support smooth store operations while ensuring every product is handled, stored, and issued with care, accuracy and high standards of cleanliness & food safety.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assist with receiving, checking, unloading, and arranging inbound supplies.
- Store raw materials, packaging materials, and other items in the right locations.
- Support proper FIFO practice and ensure items are clearly labelled.
- Assist with issuing materials to the kitchen team according to approved requests.
- Maintain accurate stock movement records and support stock counts.
- Check products for quantity, quality, condition, expiry dates, and visible damage.
- Keep the store, shelves, equipment, and surrounding areas clean and well organised.
- Follow company GMP, HACCP, food safety, health & safety, and hygiene standards.
- Report damaged, expired, missing, or low-stock items to the Supervisor.
- Assist with stock transfers, loading, unloading, and other store-related activities as required.
- Work closely with the Store, Kitchen, Production, and Operations teams.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Good physical fitness and willingness to handle routine store activities.
- Ability to follow instructions and maintain attention to detail.
- Basic understanding of cleanliness, hygiene, and food safety.
- Good teamwork and a positive attitude.
- Reliable, punctual, and responsible work ethic.
- Willingness to work in early shifts (5 am-2 pm), weekends, and public holidays when required.
- Proximity to Colombo 05 will be an advantage.
- Previous experience in a store, warehouse, food production, hotel, restaurant, or similar environment will be an advantage.
